    Super high idle 4k rpms

Hey everyone. I've seen lots of various threads addressing issues and I've fixed a couple of things and am still having issues.

Can someone help me determine my next move?

My car is a 92' 325i Vert. the issue I am having is that as soon as I start up the car it starts to idle at about 2500 rpms and works its way up to around 4k within seconds. I can't seem to find the issue. Ive already replaced the ICV and the boot.

Should I replace the ICM? what does this part look like? where can I find it? any pics would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot guys.

Pull around on your cruise control cable to see if it's stuck.

Didn't even think of this. I will check this out in the morning.

Isn’t this what happens if the icv isn’t plugged in? Throttle position switch under the throttle body should be tested to.
