Hi guy's I just swapped a new engine in to my 1988 bmw 325i I was super excited to get this car running it's always been my dream to drive and own one but the thing wont start. I had a rod knock before. I bought it like that I found an engine and installed it it was from a 1990 e30 the thing reads 115psi on all cylinders it kinda starts for a few seconds when I pour a little bit of atf in the cylinder. . I do this to help ceal the ring and the wall. That's the only way it gives signs of life when I pull the sparks their always super wet in fuel could it be that the car is flooding. my doubt is the car was running before I swapped the engine I installed every thing from the running car to the new engine. So I have good spark and fuel. The whater pump is leaking whater should I fill the system with water first? Will that help? Please help I'm getting so frustrated I really want to get this car running.
