Hey guys! My 87' 325e is hesitating and the engine is stumbling around with almost no power when I'm trying to accelerate. It started today when i was getting on to the interstate. Going to pass cars was almost impossible because the engine just couldn't generate any power. Taking off from a stop is also very hard for the car to do. The issues seems to go away at 3,500rpm and the engine will respond normally. Any help would be much appreciated as I am pretty scared to drive the car.

And of course with these engines, look for vacuum leaks, how does the engine idle?2004 525i Manual - 1985 325E Coupe Manual

The engine idles OK at best. Its not abhorrently bad but it isn't perfect. However the quality of the idle didn't change when this issue started to occur. I am not currently driving the car as well.My rigs:
