Hi I have the opportunity to get a running '86 325es manual parts car. I have an '87 325iA and would like the 5 speed, and perhaps to build a stroker i motor from the eta.
My thoughts on the matter are that it would be easiest to put the conversion pistons in the eta block, then either buy an i head, or switch my i stuff over and put the engine in with the trans at the same time.
My biggest question is what needs to be done about the trans swap. I know the e and i bellhousings are different but what needs to be done about that?
