    An Odd Noise

After I changed my oil the other day, a new noise has started to show its face. Great. Anyway, its a knocking sound, but not under acceleration. In fact, it only comes about either at idle right after starting (until the oil light goes out) or if I'm sitting in Neutral and I rev it up to about 2.5/3K and let it back to idle. It will make a knocking sound (only for a few seconds... and not every time) as it coasts back to idle. It'll sound for about 1 second and then completely disappear. Other than that, the car drives fine. In fact, I just had a bunch of new clutch stuff and exhaust gaskets put in.

I thought it would be too much oil, since I added almost the full five quarts, but I checked the oil and its just at the full line, even when the engine is hot. It must have something to do with the oil, or I just need a valve adjustment... really bad. Last time I checked the valves about 6 months ago, they were all at .008 cold. Weird.

    Anybody have any idea?
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
    Mark: "You never will."

        Bosch 3421.

The sound is coming from the rear-ish of the engine, towards the top. I'll take a peek under the hood when I get some good time.

Well the valves are all adjusted to spec. Still makes the noise. I think there's a block somewhere in the oil lines? Maybe not enough circulation?
