    help! engine wont start!

i just had my engine out to do some work and i've got it back in now and it won't start. it just clicks once when i turn the key. i still have the driveshaft and exhaust off the car but i dont think that should matter. any ideas what coudl be wrong?

one strange thing when i was hooking up the starter was there were four wires, a red, a black, and two little wires that go top and bottom. i dont think i ever pulled off the black one, but i hooked it up anyways and when i'd connect the battery the starter would just spin, so i disconnected that wire. now it just clicks. anyone have a picture of how it's supposed to go?

Did you remember to ground the oil pan to the chassis? What kind of work did you do to the engine?

ok i solved it. i had a couple wires mixed up on the starter. i gotta do a better job of labelling next time!

there's nothing like the sound of an m20 running in a closed garage with no exhaust whatsoever! :)
