Looking to freshen up my M20 (minus the head gasket). Anyone tried either of these head gasket kits? Any input? Is there a better one?

I did the Reinz on the GFs '89 325i. The material seemed kinda thin on the O-rings, the cam seal was kinda chintzy, 2 of the orings I tossed and replaced locally, just seemed cheap.
Nice fitment on all hard parts, but I did expect more than just steam holes on the coolant passages to the head.
On the other hand, no leaks or hassles so far, at all of 570 miles since install.

Never heard of Elwis-Royal. They aren't OEM, thats for sure.
Victor-Reinz is a mid grade brand to me.
Elring is the devil. Do not use.
Goteze is the best, try to find them.Adam Fogg- '88 M3

The only head gaskets and engine seals I'll use are straight from the dealer...
The rest of the stuff is fairly forgiving.Comment

Not OEM for BMW.
They're a Danish company and are an OEM supplier to Volvo. I can't speak to their quality though.
Really? I would rather know what I am buying.
I'm not going to trust BMW's judgment on which parts supplier they are using this week.
