Sorry for this post stilla noobie with bimmers tryed searchin couldnt find it... my car is chipped ( previous owner) where is it located, and if its a good brand will it have its brand name printed on it??
It is under the dashboard behind the glovebox compartment. Disconnect the straps that hold the glovebox up and let it down. Then I think there are some screws that hold up a plastic panel; after removing the panel you should have access to the ECU box.
