EMISSION HELP - the final stretch

so after replacing everything I can replace I'm out of ideas.

    - water temp sensor
    - gaugge temp sensor
    - o2 sensor
    - spark plug
    - plug wires
    - pcv hose

So after all this, my idle went from 1200 to 900... but it occasionally goes to 950... it idles smooth as anything, but I'm afraid the high idle will kill my emissions, cause of the high output. I check the ICV with my gf's icv, which the car idles at 650. Same thing it eventually comes up to 950 after a bit of driving. So the temp is good, all the guages work.

Here's another thing in the equation - if I disconnect the battery, and then plug it back in, it will idle at 800... well at least for the first 10 to 15 min then it would go back up to 950. I adjusted the throttle a bit lower, but then it gets crazy trying to idle higher, is it my ECU?

Driving me nuts, this is the final thread regarding this stupid thing, but I really need some inputs.

Have you cleaned out the AFM and throttle body? that may help with the erratic idle. If you're still not passing emissions, you could try running some of the various aftermarket cleaning additives through your system and see if that help. I know there are a few fuel additives that 'guarantee to pass emissions'. How's your cat converter?

      there is no erratic idle.

the idle is dead pin at 950. No erratic idle at all. If it was erratic I might have know what to clean and what not. Not only that it can run at 800 very smoothly, if I unplug the battery and plug it back in. Which means it can run at that level, but what the hell is it making it keep going up?

not really worry about the cat, since I just barely didnt pass hc last time. it was like a itty bitty off only. It's the idle. I saw the guy test my car, everytime he shift into nuetral and the rpm drops, I go into the red, which mean, I'm producing too much exhaust at idle, which translate to too much mixture/ aka idle. I need to drop that idle just a bit, but I don't know what else to do.

do you have an aftermarket chip? if yes then ditch it and put the old stocker back in for the test. remember that there is a TPS connected to the TB so if I were you I would completely remove the throttle body & TPS and reset everything with feeler gauges back to stock settings. By screwing with the throttle plate to try and mess with your idle you are just messing up the mixture (air to fuel) and causing the ECU to compensate in other ways - this could be causing your high idle. How is your cat? How is your O2 sensor? Do you have any vacuum leaks? How about your injectors? do you have uprated injectors? Any leaks at the injector seats?
