    Euro M20B27?

So Ive been looking for a E30 for a while. Walked by a few, but recently found one that is supposed to be an E-code. Its an 84 325e. Coupe, stick, cloth interior.

Anyway, I cant seem to find too much about the Euro m20b27. Ive searched "euro", "e code" "m20b27" "euro m20b27", etc. Still not really finding anything about this motor. Is it an equivalent to a Super ETA? What am I missing here? Is it even a legit motor or is this guy trying to pull peoples chains?

Hummm sounds like an ETA with a 2.7.....could be wrong but I am guessing it has diving board bumpers....also what is the rev limit....on the head is it stamped 2.5/2.7? Take a pic of the the engine and it will be easier to label the car. I had a similar problem when I bought my 88 but the guys here are quite knowledgeable and helped me quickly.

Early Eta's have higher compression ratio most were found in 525e. 11.1 and 10.1 are nice pistons to find.

There is no way that bmw had 11.1:1 compression in an eta.

-Yeah actually the euro etas had something close to 11:1 CR. But they also had 100 octane gas.

There's a member on another forum with an 85 euro 2.7. The distributor is on the left side of the motor. So it's not *exactly* the same eta as the US model.

This is why you are a newbie and some of us are not. Read or do a search. Cold Accord was selling a set of these pistons 5 months ago?
