    slight delay on throttle

don't quite know how to explain this... but i'll try my best

    on my 325i

at idle... if you blip the throttle... it'll hesitate for a brief second, the rpm's will dip and then shoot up

if you blip the throttle as the RPM's are dropping down, the delay is even longer and the dip in RPM's is more prominent (happens when the RPM's is closer to 1-2k)

My search has brought up excuses such as "this is just how the AFM works". Well I refuse to believe that as my 325e and 318i didn't behave this way. Well the 318i kinda did... just not as bad as my 325i

I have owned AFM cars all my life... none of them exhibit what my 325i does. Rev matching is difficult, and slowing down to go over speed bumps sometimes results in me stalling the car if i'm not paying attention.

    Anyone have any ideas?

start by inspecting your impulse sensor, the inductive pickup on plug wire #6

Yeah they're all like that.. Get a Miller MAF system if you wanna get rid of it. It's no cheap upgrade tho at $530:
