    Oil pressure light

I just replaced my oil pan two days ago and took it on a 5 hour drive that same day from my parents' house back to where I live. It did fine the whole way until I got into town and the oil pressure light started coming on. It would come on at idle and then turn off around 1500 rpm. It was fine before I changed the pan and I checked the pressure switch and ordered a new one but it won't be here until tomorrow. Any ideas? I figure it's either the switch, the oil pump which is less likely or maybe the pickup rattled loose or something? Thanks.

Oh yeah and now the light stays on all the time so I'm waiting to drive it until I get the new switch.
The grilles really distract you from the fact that someone took a sledgehammer to the front end.
