    m20b27 tuning

i just purchased an 85 325e 4dr. i have done a little reseach and found out that the m20 out of an 88 325i is different(cylinder head, redline). i was wondering if it was better to get the "i" engine and stick with the '"e" engine. i am new to this whole bmw thing so dont kill me just yet

Well first of all, not to be mean, you have to search man, these answers are everywhere, Im not sure exactly what your question is but since im not an asshole ill answer your question. The "I" motor would have been a better choice (more HP about the same torque as the "e" and definatly more tunable) the E motor which i also have, has low HP but decent torque to move it just fine with the benefit of good gas milage. But to conclude...if you are looking for any more answers definatly use that search option up top first, youll find what your looking for.

The e motor isn't bad. Doing a chip and a 3.25 LSD will wake the car up big time. Anything more than those mods is a waste of money in my opinion. If you swap the e motor for an i, you have a lot more to work with.
