    Help w/ comp. test please?...

Im considering buying a used m20 thats out of the car. Can the m20 be cranked for a comp test w/o a tranny connected? Im hoping to just need a starter and batt connected.

yea dont see why not, not like you need it to go anywhere, and if you plan on running it for a while, then put a hose with water flowing into the thermostat housing. i am not sure about a 2.5, but the eta motor is supposed to have 149 pounds of compression brand new.

If the starter and flywheel are still there thats all you need. Jump to a battery .
