    E Chip?

so i am getting ready to chip my eta. already did 3.73 gears(huge difference) so far i have looked at turner which seems to be a much better choice over bavauto. What kind of differences can i expect, i.e. in the seet power? the 3.73 made highway cruising great, is the chip just going to increase this feel?

3.73 gears are wayyy to short for that car! I'm guessing your 1st gear is almsot useless.

To answer your question, a chip makes a huge differece for the Eta cars. A JimC/Turner chip is the way to go most likely.

i thought they would be too short also but they are just perfect. oh and my first gear is useless, but only because i have a bad syncro hahahah. new tranny before the chip!

i swapped the 2.79lsd for the 3.73lsd on a eta m20 (now removed and awaiting the m50 to be finished) but let me tell you what!that car is hilarious to drive around town and a bitch to drive on the interstate.3,500rpm at 75 ish with a red line of 5000. you only have 1500 more rpms lol i have a flashed bootleg chip in the eta ecu and it would bust out sometimes when i would try to take it to the new redline of 5500 but it made the rest of the range after 3,000 remarkable. a chip in the eta is a must if you want to have any fun what so ever. after i had my chip with a 2 1/2 straight exhaust dtm muffler intake and chip i was barely beating or staying exactly side by side with i cars. bwahaha. but everybody said my eta motor was a freak! oh and its for sale to.

        you'll like the chip though!

I say put the turner chip in. I chipped my eta last year, and it did make a huge difference. I love waking up every morning to go to work just because I know the drive is going to be really fun.

Does anybody have any idea what the top speed of an ETA would be with a Conforti chip and a 3.73 rear end? I am trying to figure out what rear end to use to maximize top end speed. Thanks!
