That wouldn't really bother me all that much. The big question is what the cylinders and bottom end look like.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

yes, i havent had a chance to pull the timing cover..but since the motor wont turn over, im guessing there might be something crazy happening down there.

So the motor sat in a field with no rocker cover for awhile?, looks like the cam will need a clean up!
The motor not turning over seems like more of a problem, though what was your plans with this engine anyways? Rebuild?
