What you need is a higher rev-limit!

If you up grade to 1.3 Motronic with a 173ecu you will be at 6300rpm then with a chip 7000+

Good god, do not just put that ecu in and rev an eta to 7k.

Edit: I read the link you posted and I see you also talk about swapping all of the correct valvetrain and other parts to do it. However, there is a significant amount of wrong information in that article. Did you get all of your info from that wiki?
