    Fusable Link

I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the fusable link in the trunk. What it does, what should be used to replace it seeing how my local BMW dealer doesn't even show it on their parts break down, at least that's what they told me. I got the car from a friend, it hasn't ran in over a year, and the fusable link had been replaced with a fuse block. My friend said that the link was melted in two so he put the block in instead of a fusable link. Anyone have any pictures of the stock unit. Any suggestions? I was told that it turned the DME on, which if that's the case then that could explain my no spark issue. Thanks.

the fuseable link provides power to the ecu itself. It acts as a circuit breaker to protect the ECU, so it will blow instead of the ECU.
