Can't pull codes, TPS is good

    Hey guys,

I have any '87 325is w/ a 173 DME. Runs like a champ. For kicks i want to chec, the codes.

When i turn the key to 'on' (engine off, the state where all the warning, CEL, Brake, oil, etc lights are all lit up) and press the gas 5 times, nothing happens. the CEL was lit and stays lit. What am i doing wrong here?

I checked the TPS today and i get proper closed connections across the pins at idle and at WOT.

Are you checking TPS operation with someone in the car pressing the accelerator to WOT and then releasing it?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

You might be pressing the pedal too rapidly/slowly -- should take about 5s for you to mash it and release it 5x. Also, make sure you're pushing it all the way down.
