    What temp sensor does what?

We're trying to fix a surging idle problem with our car, and from reading here, the main coolant temp sensor mounted on the t-stat housing may be the culprit. But there are 4 different sensors on the t-stat housing, and I don't know which one does what! Based on this diagram, what sensor has what function?

I don't have any that are blue.

          look at the connector
ones with two metal prongs are ECU (blue or black)
ones with just one prong is cluster temp gauge (brown)
