Inconsistant Starting and a stalling issue.

Alright, on Friday I parked my car for about 10-15minutes after driving it for about 30mins. When I went back to start the car, the car would only crank. I took about 4-5minutes for me to actually get the car started. Didn't sound like it was getting either A.) Spark or B.) Fuel.

Now I got it started, and have been driving it to and from work with no problems, and no symptoms of problems.

Today I drove my car about 2 blocks to get food. I pick up my food, and drive back to work, at the front of my building (I'm in 1st) my car completely dies. Started bogging a bit, but just died. I wasn't moving fast and I KNOW I didn't stall the car myself, my car just lost all power. I go to try to crank the car over, takes about 3-4minutes to actually crank. The entire time it felt like it wasn't getting A.) Spark or B.) Fuel, but I noticed this time the cars cranking speed was getting slower every time I tried, figuring my battery is getting weak from cranking. Now the cranking speed slows almost as if the battery was dead, and my clock I noticed went to 12AM, so something had to have reset. The crank speed finally kicks up and my car starts normally.

I don't understand. I haven't taken a good look at my car yet (I work on cars for a living), but figured someone has had this problem before.

    So anybody?

That set of symptoms is consistent with a fuel delivery problem (clogged filter, failing pump, flaky fuel pump relay).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

the ground strap from the engine to the chassis is dead. Replace it. Should fix your problem.

      Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

You think it's fucked up? Meh, I'll replace it when I do the M52 swap lol. But... I got another car that is fucked up, so I might try that now.

Maybe the alternator is not giving you the correct voltage and it's send your ecu a weak signal?
Or maybe your cps. Check to see that it's clean and has the correct resistance. Check the bentley for the correct ohm value.

Ive had the problem in the past on my other E30. Same symptoms (mainly the starter not spinning fast enough). The fuel system on donna was cleaned and the filter was replaced so its more than likely not the issue. Dist cap/rotor are new too. Wires are old and MIGHT be your problem as well.

So on the customer car, I found out whats wrong. One of the power wires from the coil is losing power for some reason so I am going to figure out whats wrong with it now.

I'm willing to bet grounding problems.
