325e +i cam and valve springs. ebay chip?

Ok so 6 months ago i put a 7 bearing i cam and i double valve springs in my m20b27. Im low on cash as of buying a motorcycle for the summer and motivation to motronic 1.3 upgrade is very low. So i ordered a generic eta ebay chip for my car. Will it negatively affect my car since the chip was designed for a different cam? what are your opinions on how suitable the chip will be for my car vs. a stock 325e?

the chip should be here wedsday. but i just was wondering what to expect. All opinions are welcome.

I'm no expert, but as far as I know, all the chips do is advance the timing (thus the need for 91 octane) and raise the rev limiter. If your car is currently running fine, it'll likely run fine with the chip unless the advanced timing is too much for your setup and causes pinging.

I think the chips change the fuel somewhat too though. but yeah, what you said sounds correct. Couldn't loose power i guess.
