I swapped out my auto for a 5sp. While i was there i installed a jb flywheel also. went to start the car and is starts but it seems that the starter is not disengaging or retracting from the flywheel. The starter is spinning with thhe flywheel while the engine is running. the starter plate and big washer are installed. the starter is from the car i got the transmission out of. The car is an 89 and transmission is out of an 89. do i need to shim the starter for the flywheel? Is there something im over looking.
