    reference and speed sensor

    Hi.. So for the life of me I cannot seem to locate them... I know there on the bell housing and was also told they are below the start.. but still I can not see them not even the wires leading to them.. Yes I guess Im totaly blind....


    ok so Im under the car.. starter motor right above my face.............

    the speed sensor is in the back of the diff ;)

      really.. they show both of them sidebyside on the bellhousing in my manual I just cant for the life of me see them..

          so the E30 IS Does Not have the speed/reference sensor??

            A 325is has the M20B25 engine, which has the crankshaft position sensor mounted at the bottom front of the engine. More or less between the AC compressor and the block on the exhaust side. The cylinder ID signal is from the ignition wires.

            Early M20B27 engines had the crank position and ID sensors mounted in the bell housing.
            The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
