    Upgrading electric A/C fan

Everyone talks about deleting their belt driven fan and swapping in a electric fan. What if instead, just delete the fan and upgrade the electric A/C fan
(with the condenser still in place), to a higher CFM fan like a spal. Seems like this wouldn't be as hard on the electrical system as running 2 electric fans.
    Anyone done this?

    Thanks

I don't know what the book rating is for the aux fan, but based on how the cooling system behaves with a couple of different SPAL's I'd guess on about 1800CFM. The biggest SPAL you can fit in is only in the the 2400CFM range. So there's not a lot of room for improvement. If you aren't going to have/use A/C, the aux fan is sufficient (with a lower temp thermoswitch). But if A/C will be retained, the engine driven fan or a +2000CFM electric fan is indicated.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
