Where to get a carb intake manifold?

My eta will be emissions exempt in 7 months and I wanted to switch to carburation. Short of cruising to Europe, does anybody know of/have a carb intake that's for sale?

BTW, I'm no longer straight outta Compton, I'm back in Texas. Once a car hits 25 years old here it is emissions exempt from then on. :p

Thanks for any and all help,

    Danny

But why? My experience is that engines became more reliable and made better power once electronic engine management and fuel injection were implemented. Reverting to carbs seems to me to be a step back.

True, injection is better for the masses, but ultimately you can get more power w/carbs since you can run wilder cams and it's easier to get more air/fuel into the motor. Electronic ignition would remain via Petronix.

As my car gets older I fear electrical gremlins will start appearing. I really don't want to pull my gearbox again when the motor positioning exciter falls off the flywheel again. A carb eliminates alot of this plus they sound better and would make for a unique bimmer.

-I'm not so sure if a carb'd m20 car make as much as power as a FI'd one, but carbs are kinda cool in my book and sound GREAT.

It is far easier to max out the engine with a standalone engine management system than by switching to carbs. With a standalone system, like MegaSquirt or similar, you can tweak the A/F map and spark timing as a function of rpm & load. Carbs are always a compromise over the rev/load range that the engine will see.

This ends the discussion. The thread can die now.

BTW. Quick FYI. New Z06. 505hp, 28mpg, smooth idle, tons of torque............................................ ........................................

Show me some carb crap that pulls that off. Better yet don't. This thread is dead.

I think a few of you may have misunderstood me - I fully realize a modern computer controlled car run better than cars used to. Indeed I've been wrenching for many years and have owned lots of cars from various decades. What I miss is the "artistic value" of a carb. If you don't know what I mean by this, perhaps you never will.

All I asked for was a tip on where to get parts. Instead I walked into a taping of Jerry Springer.

if you're going to do it, do sidedrafts dcoe's. idf's might be needed as a compromise. check out the e21 with a triple weber m20 on youtube:

you two could have an engine like this:

                              both pulled from here:
