    gotta love changing cooling hoses.........

What a pain in the ass ! Esp the lower hose coming off the heater core plumbed between the intake and firewall to the rear of the block----lovely. My wifes p.o.s 740 is the same way. The hoses are a bitch to get at on these cars. Now heres one for ya, maybe some pointers here........Got to the hose that runs from the intake throttle body area (guess its warms up the air) to the rear of the block (drivers side) under intake runners. How the hell do you get that clamp off !!! I cant even get my hand in there to move around ?? Best I can figure in an extra long 1/4 in ext with a 6mm socket ??

I can't remember what I did, but my big ass banana fingers were mangled/sore afterwards.
And it took a hell of a lot longer than I expected as well.
Just take your time, and try different positions. She always likes it better that way. ;)

I read else where that the throttle body warmer thing that the water hoses connect to is a cold weather thing ?? Makes sense, guess I could leave them off or plug them ??

In really cold days, when your engine is sucking in very cold air, theres a chance your throttle body will instantaneously freeze in place. Its kind of a bad thing. Those hoses are meant to keep the throttle body warm enough that it wont freeze closed.

I wound up unhooking mine and putting a T fitting in for my coolant temp sensor. I dont think you need it if you live in texas lol.

Changing all of the coolant hoses is pretty much piece-o-cake with the intake manifold off the car...
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

might be something to that since the gaskets are like $10 and you can have the manifold off in under half an hour.
Just a little project im working on

got it done last night, took me a beer and a half, patience,....... and finally with luck I think- I got it on with a pair of long ass needle nose pliers. Removing the manifold is an idea, it kinda needs a polishing.
