Weird power loss problem, lose power, then comes back

Hey guys-so here's what's been happening. Driving the car, at any speed, it will lose power and not react when I press the gas pedal. As far as I can tell, all the electronics still work (dash lights, head lights, etc) but pressing on the gas pedal does nothing. The power comes back on after a couple of seconds though. It feel as if I had taken my foot off the gas pedal, like when slowing down for a light.

This is how it happened this morning-giving it gas while making a left turn, all of the sudden no power (but power steering works) then power comes back on and actually jerks me forward a bit since I had the gas pedal pressed down.

A couple of days ago my wife was going 80 on the freeway, car loses power (feel like you took your foot of the gas and are very slightly dragging the brakes) the car actually slows down to 60, then power kicks in again.

    WTF?

Is it a dying fuel pump? Intermittent relay?

Does the tach take a nose dive when this happens?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

To tell you the truth, I haven't noticed that happening, but the whole thing happens so fast that it may. It seriously feels like the car is suddenly slowing down though. I'll check or replace the relays and maybe the fuel pump this weekend. Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

hey bro i actually had a similar problem and after changing everything it ended up being a bad crank position sensor. when those start to go out they buck or lose power then come back on. its very annoying. check to see if it still has any magnetic pull left. if it doesnt hold like a screw or barely pulls then you really need to change it. good luck man!
Having a fast honda is like coming out of the closet.....you suprise everyone at first, but in the end you're still gay
