well, the car is a little hesitant to start....at least in my opinion. I dont have another e30 to compare it to. She starts, completes the warm up mode from a higher idle to normal, ahhh say 600-700rpm. As I pull her out onto the street I get a kinda hesitation at 2000 grand or above. Park it and let her idle and from a normal idle it will increase up and down, not by a whole bunch but it is noticeable. Im thinking a vaccum leak but have done the spray deal w/ carb cleaner around injectors, hoses ect......nada. I can hear a faint whistle when the idle gets irratic but cant pin point it ?!?!? Its gotta be vac leak, right ?? Im getting alittle discouraged, I jsut replaced all hoses, timing belt, water pump, injector orings ect ect in hopes of a total refurb and now this---arrrrgg. Oh yeah, car is an 86 eta......

Have you check for leaks associated with the brake booster, dipstick, or oil fill cap?The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

yeah, dipstick drops idle big time if I pull it, mmmmm oil cap, well it fits pretty snug. Ill check the cap and brake booster hoses tonight. I have wiggled them around but no results.[sigpicComment
