    intake temp sensor.

while messing with my car trying to hunt down random hesitation. i noticed that there is a pigtail connector coming off of the air flow sensor connector , as far as i know there has never been anything plugged in..is there supposed to be some kind of intake temp sensor in the factory air box? cant find anything on search or realoem.

    thanks

Well, to answer your question, yes. There is an intake air temp sensor in the MAF. That is wired through the same connector as the MAF though, so the answer to your what your mystery connector is for is likely your barometric pressure sensor which is an eta only item. It usually is attached to the front right of the air box.

yea, i looked at it on someone else's car and its kind of like a bbq thermometer, a spirally kind of thing, hard to explain. I am trying to hunt down some hesitation issues.

-yea thats the barometric sensor. Almost entirely useless ;)
-the air temp senser is inside the AFM, but it's harness is intergrated into the AFM harness

-oh, DaveSmed, you mean AFM, not MAF. ;)
