M20 Wont rev past 1K

Ive been having a problem with my eta that happens randomly where i am flooring it and it wont go past 1K rpm's and another thing i noticed is every time this happens my temperature starts to go up but if i shut off the car and turn it back on it magically disappears and im able to rev it again.

Any body ever had this problem if so let me know.. Thanks in advance

start at the coolant temp sensor, there is two of them...

Replace 2 two sensors on the bellhousing.
Cam timing reference sensor and speed reference sensor or some shit.

This is a common fix.
Prepare for rapeage on prices, because they are expensive but I assure you its your issue, problem among other issues. But this should fix what you described.

^ These two sensors on the bell housing would also make my temperature go up. I was thinking that they would be unrelated. Oh yeah nice sig i Ride fixies as well.
