I'm building a 2.7 stroker and my 88 super eta has the single tang bearing. The issue is I dont know if these are early 88 or late 88 when ordering new shells. Anyone know?

The ETA block has a 360 degree oiling groove on the mains that is superior over the later 325is and the SETA block and I think the early blocks have 2 tangs (or locks) on both sides...I know MM will machine a lock groove in the later caps so you can run the earlier bearings with better oiling...my 2c

Ok, Im confused and I really need to be more observant. My 88 seta block saddles have a single tang. The caps have two tangs. The 88 "i" block I have has single tang saddles and caps.
So it's wierd. The saddles in the seta block have the oil groove and the cap does not. Do replacement bearings come this way?Last edited by h82crash; 09-09-2008, 09:50 PM."Life is hard...it's a lot harder if you're stupid."
