    replacing valves 885 head

So I've never done the valve on a bmw head before. I've done valve on a 383 chevy but thats totally different.

So how easy would you say it is compared to my previous experience?

How many of you have replaced/adjusted your valves/springs/rockers?

What problems might I come accross?

Last question is, Whats the easiest way to remove the vavle spring retainer?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks r3v.... Matt...:D

maybe try to good ole socket and a hammer lol but you wont be able to get em back on that way lol. i think the easiest way is the valve clamp and the head out of the vehicle.

+1 to the head off the car. Use a valve-spring compressor tool, the big clamping kind. It's pretty straitforward. Of cource you want to have the cam and rockers/shafts out first.

And DO NOT re-use your head gasket OR head bolts OR timing belt. Get new ones
