Since I am looking to swap motors in the next year or so, I don't want to put to much money into the 2.7. I am getting ready to do a mls gasket, head studs, and piston rings when I do the is head swap. I really do not want to pay to have the crank machined for new rod bearings. So my question is, has anybody ever developed rod knock in their car under normal situation, like just high mileage? Not because of human error, like lack of oil. And if so, how many miles where on the car when the bearing went bad.
I don't plan on putting that many miles on it next season, but the miles will be turboed beat the living shit out of it miles. Car is a track car. Then it will be swapped next winter. Thanks for any input.;)
