Well it is STILL having the problem. Good gas, mostly brand new parts and a motor that didn't have issues before.

Check it out, here's mine about ready to go in...harness on. BTW it's an 88 i harness and everything IS part of the harness, injectors, alternator, starter, all of it.

I agree that the later injector harness just pops off but your gonna want to leave that part on because it is in that loom. Which kind of makes my point, leave the harness attached.

I swapped motor and I did it by pulling DME through the firewall. Easy as pie. But the real problem is....that its an electrical problem and it does the same thing to this motor.....

no, you don't have to - unplug the round connector under the manifold. not only that, but unplugging the injectors is incredibly easy, especially on the later harnesses. stick a screwdriver under harness cover, and pry up. it just pops off.

no they are not part of the engine harness. also, you can unplug the round connector under the intake manifold (that also connects to the ICV, TPS, and coolant sensors), so it's actually less. I wouldn't really count all 6 injectors as seperate connections either, especially since there are technically only 2 banks of injectors anyway.

Uh, aren't the alt leads and starter leads part of the harness? Also 6 injectors need to be hooked up. That's 10 more. I'm not saying it can't be done or that there are too many connections for my brain to handle, it's just easier to work around the engine and see all the connections with it on a stand. do you guys really have that much trouble with M20 wiring?
if I'm not forgetting something, there's 11 connections. temp sensor, temp sender, ICV, impulse sensor, coil negative, VR sensor, purge canister, AFM, oil pressure switch, TPS, and O2. easy as pie! the only ones that are required to run the car are the VR, temp sensor, coil negative and AFM (it will even run without the AFM, just very poorly).
