Where to get new seal when changing oil.

Kind of a stupid question I know..

I'm talking about the washer that goes with the bolt that you replace every time you drain the oil from the pan..

Last time I changed my oil I bought it at a BMW Dealership's parts store.. was surprised that they were going to charge me a few bucks for what just looked like a washer.. Didn't even fit right, I think they probably gave me the wrong one which explains why I have been dripping tiny bits of oil since then.

Anyway, you guys know of a good place I can get one cheap? I'm looking to change my oil tonight.

Buy a filter from the dealership, it will come in there.

But I think it comes with most filters...

why are you going to the dealer for little stuff like that?

Make sure you don't overtorque the oil pan bolt. The threads in the pan are easily stripped. If you're getting drips of oil it might be too late already.

The Mann filters they sell in Germany and on Pelican don't have the washer seal. I buy them seperate for 25 cents at the AP or on Pelican.
