    Upgrade to M20

OK, I got an '84 318i and I'm swapping my M10 for an M20. I already have the engine, tranny and exhaust but have a laundry list of other items to get to make it happen. Along with the rebuild, I wanna upgrade the motor prior to install but need recommendations on where I should go in terms of the upgrade:
    1-Turbo or 3.1 Stroker?
2-Where can I get a list of suggested components (engine/drivetrain/ brake) to make all of this happen?

I'd keep the m10 and turbo that.

google/youtube some 'm10 turbo' or 'bmw f1 turbo' vids, you will see

for a "proper" m20 swap, get the engine (duh), harness, DME, trans, driveshaft, diff, frnt struts, four springs, and brakes off a 325i.

        Or, go buy a 325i.

You think the same m10 in his car is a bmw F1 m10?
They must not be THAT different if you bring it up.
          I'm no m10 expert.

          m20>m10 :)

No, not the same, but the block and basic design are related. m10s can handle huge amounts of boost, and respond to it very well.

If the OP wants to swap might as well skip the m20, don't get me wrong I love the m20, but to go through the trouble of swapping then turboing it'd be a better idea to go m50 or turbo the m10 lump you've already installed. IMHO ofcourse.
