upgrading MM motors

they say that it is not suggested that you use anything but metric mechanic parts. what happenes if you dont. like use a vac motorsports head on a MM block

The major side affect of what you propose is likely to be a loss of performance. MM does quite a bit with their heads to improve mass flow. i don't know that VAC does the same.

you can upgrade the exhaust, intake and fuel on a MM engine, correct? as long as you dont mess with the block or head

I believe Mark D'Sylva makes custom chips for the MM engines now. I'm sure you could use a standalone system as well.

If you talk to MM, I'm sure they will have suggestions about what the best modifications are in terms of fuel, intake and exhaust to get the most power. I can nearly guarantee they don't just want you to slap that built onto a stock system.

At that point, you can decide whether you want to do what they say or whether you think you can do it better.
