    Brake Booster Hose hmmm

Well I replaced the DOT C hose that was connected to the brake booster and plenum. The tech at the parts store gave me PVC/Smog hose for it's replacement.

The install went smooth (expect removing the OEM dike clamps was a PITA) & I replaced the OEM clamps with twisty ones. The only thing that trips me out is the hose I replaced is now very flat after I test drove the car. I have reason to believe it is flat because of it being pressurized and such.

So what kinda hose should I replace it with instead? a braided vacuum type hose? I still want to figure out what "DOT C" exactly means, it was labeled on the OEM brake booster hose.

What about looking through realoem.com and getting the stock one? Have you tried pelicanparts.com? It looks like the hose you used has a side wall that is too thin and weak, and collapsed under the vacuum the engine pulls.

Any vacuum hose that's the right size should do the trick, just make sure it's sturdy enough.
