    Fpr

    Maybee a dumb question, but. . .
What kind of problems would/could a faulty FPR cause?
    Richness?
    Drivability issues?
    Idle?

All of those. The failure modes of the FPR are either insufficient or excessive pressure in the fuel rail. The fuel system checks document in the Bentley manual will quickly tell if you have a problem the the fuel pump or FPR.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Could the problem be intermitant with a faulty FPR?
I'll admit I am currently Bently-less. My last roommate bought one and I just reaped the benefits.

I'd expect a bad FPR to cause consistent problems.
