    Identifying a superetta...

I picked up a 325i over the weekend and noticed it has an etta intake manifold, I'm trying to figure out what it is, build date is 12/88 and door jam sticker indicates it is a 325i, is there anything on the outside to identify it as a superetta? The valve cover is an "i" valve cover.

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.

If the car is a 325i (plug the last 7 of the vin into realoem.com to find out), it doesn't have the super eta engine unless there's been a transplant.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

the intake manifold will be eta-ish, unless they changed it too

Yup, the intake is etta, it sounds like I'll be pulling the head to check the stroke, needs it anyway, but the car runs at the moment, don't really want to change that.

Thanks, I'll pull the valve cover.

Just incase I was unclear, the car is a 325i, but the engine is strange, I wondered if someone put a 325e head on it, or possibly an entire etta engine.

It has an etta intake, but everything else looks like an i, including the valve cover, much the same as a super etta, so I figured either someone put an etta intake on an i engine, or an etta head and intake, or a full super etta engine, everything on the car indicates that it is an i car.

                        A s-eta cam will have a "K" painted on it, a b25i cam will have an "E"
