how easily should rocker shaft plugs go in ?

I am getting a bad oil leak at the front of my engine. My engine builder said that the camshaft seal was still good when he installed the new cam and didn't need a new seal.

I installed new rocker arm plugs that came with the Victor Reinz headgasket kit, but I seem to remember them sliding in surprisingly easy, and I suspect this may be the culprit.

How easily should rocker arm plugs go in? I think my VR plugs might been duds. What brands have you had success with?

Mine were from a Reinz set, and needed black RTV applied to even slide into place. No problems.
