just colored valve covers and intake manifold

just have one question. on the side of the throttle body theres that tube that connects to the valve covers. when i was removing that the rubber was so old it just chipped away. is there any way i can run it without that? or is it 100% necessary?

Its the crankcase ventilation tube...No its not 100% necessary
You will have to plug both end if you want to run without it or
your engine bay is going to be coated with oil and you'll have a
    vacuum leak

Just get the tube, unless you want to run the risk of high crank case pressures over a $2 tube.

I'd say replace the tube, IIRC it's about $12, less than a filter.

16, and good luck getting the right one. The RealOEM part # is wrong.. I have the later-style hose sitting here because of that.
