I have a 89 325i. What alternator would be good. Also if i found a good price on one, would it matter the more amps it is, say, 130 amps? silly question perhaps, but I need an alternator quick. Thanks.

Week late response but the 90A (factory for your 325i) is a good alternator. If you are wanting a bolt on upgrade, your options are a 115A, you just need to cut a little notch out of your alternator/powersteering mounting bracket, or a 140A alternator which requires just as much (about 20 minutes of work). You can grind them down since its soft aluminum, fairly easy with a dremel.
Also a shameless plug, i have both upgrades available FS if interested, usually you want to replace the belt(s) while you are in there if you havent already done so.
