Oil cooler leak next to filter

Ive heard that this is a common leak spot for B25s but I haven't found any solid information on how to remedy it. It seems to leak from the plug that I am pointing at. It had gotten recently worse so i really need to address it now. Any tips on what to replace and what procedures to go about? Both my dad and corvallisBMW have this leak so any definitive answers could help out a couple people at least.

That plug you are pointing to can be replaced, if that is the only thing leaking go to your local stealership and buy a new one, pretty cheap If i remember correctly.

Edit: might be easier to do this with the oil filter housing out of the car, if so you may as well replace the o ring that seals it to the block
    I am from B.C. btw

I remember now, when I rebuilt my M20b25 I replaced the o ring from the oil filter housing to the block, the "plug" that you are pointing at, and to the right you can see another bolt, You can change that washer as well. There is also two washers between the external oil cooler lines and the oil filter housing, they can also leak, If you end up undoing them, replace the washers. If it is just the one your pointing at, your could just change it in the car and make the job alot easier.

So i replaced it and now i get a steady stream of oil once i start the car. At least it was drivable before but now i cant even let it run. Is there some trick or simple mistake here? I then put the old one back in and it doesn't leak as much as the new one but still more than before.

Edit: Turned out to be a faulty part
