    Few quick sensor questions.

Just got a 89 325i and have been replacing as much as i can within reason. just did the timing belt and some sensors and i have a few questions about how this thing goes back together.

    1. The crank position sensor and input from the sensor on the spark plug wires plug into the same place. Both have the same plug, wondering what plugs into witch plug.

    2. what is this sensor on top of the oil pan? the plug on mine broke.

    3. The water temp sensors on the thermostat housing are both the same plug, a brown and a blue. does the brown connector go on top or on bottom?

    4. i think i need to gap the spark plugs, whats the recommended gap?

    thanks

wow, that helped a shit ton, i have one on order, but it wont be here until early next week, until then, id like to drive my car, these are not hard questions for people whove done the timing belt or intake manifold gasket job before and telling me to rtfm wont do anything but build your post count by showing your ignorance or confirming your a dick.

As to (1). If the engine won't fire (no spark) when cranking, swap the connections.

As to (2). That's the oil level sensor.

As to (3), If the temp gauge doesn't work once the engine is hot, swap the connectors.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
