      The item has to say "c.a.r.b. approved" to be street legal in CA. I would ask the Co. selling it.

          Unless you've done something to increase the mass flow through the head, there's nothing to be gained by swapping out the OE airbox. Just make sure that it has a clean OE filter.
          The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
