Can I remove/replace chip in 04/85 325e?

I'm sorry, but I don't know the # on the ECU, or the color of the dot - it's never been loosened from its original resting place! I didn't know if there was a cutoff for when they weren't & were provided with a removable chip.
There's a 24-pin Conforti/Turner T027-000 chip for sale that I was considering.

Just get your flashlight and screwdriver and go check the number. I think you should be able to get a chip for it but you'll need that number in any case. You will not regret chipping the eta it is imho the best $ vs. $ mod for the car.
