I was replacing the filter in my car about a week ago and I noticed that the heat shield that is is directly behind the headlights doesn't fit right. I am trying to find a replacement part, I think the guy who owned the car before me tried to use a a 88+ heatshield and my car is an 87. Although this is just a guess. And the hose that runs from the airbox to this heat shield is too short. I have been looking for awhile and I cannot locate the replacement part for this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

those plates behind headlights are all the same (except small square part of driver side that's for metal air boxes).
usually they don't fit because small tips on the bottom break off. -
Really? The one I have is a bitch to get in and it doesn't line up correctly. I will have to take a look at this again. Are they supposed to be really hard to get in?Comment

Haha yeah that is why I had it off for a week, I couldn't figure it out. I managed to get it in today and it fits fine, took a half hour to muscle in though. Thanks for the helpComment
