    Help with parts and Issue

Hello to all!! Just to introduce myself, i currently drive a e28 535i and it is my DD. Well, about a week ago i have really been searching for a e30, i found one. A 1986 325es, new black paint, no rust, pristine interior, exhaust, chip, cd player, rebuilt m20 with new seals, belts, and ''some'' hoses. Ok enough said Lol. Car would not start and when it did turn over it would run and sound like it was misfiring. Seller said time after time its the injectors they are varnished or gummed up. I looked over the car several times... a solid base to build upon is really why i bought it, even if the rebuild went wrong or something of that nature. Anyway, brought it home took the plugs out and the plugs are soaked in fuel really bad. buffed it off & let them dry and made sure the gap was right .028? looked underneath the car and the oil pressure sensor wire and sensor itself have a little oil on them. ordered a new pressure sensor & cut a spliced a new connector onto the wire. Put the plugs back in, and it fired right up (car had been sitting for 2years prior to rebuild then sat another year) and sounded alot better than before and was idling poorly.. let it run for a few minutes and gave it some gas...greyish smoke coming out of the exhaust when rev'd over 3k. put new gas in it with some injector cleaner. Go to start the car again the next day and it will not turn over. drained oil, pulled plugs, checked cap and rotor and the cap is cracked where the ignition wire goes..hmm. Anyway, oil was really really thin and smelled like fuel... ok another problem. Injectors could be stuck open and dumping to much fuel right? Pulled the intake manifold off and got to the fuel rail and injectors... Listen to this... pulled all the injectors off and sent them to Eurosport here in OKC/Norman actually to be tested. Well, looked inside the fuel rail and inside and outside of the fuel rail are PAINTED, yes PAINTED red... And yes inside the fuel rail as well.... WHY? No clue. So, that cannot be good for the injectors right? paint chips probably have the screens all blocked up plus varnished fuel from sitting. Looked over the engine again and the crankcase breather hose is WAY to big.. and it held on by Zipties-causing leaks probably? Several hoses are held on by fricken zipties. Anyway, sorry so long of a story just trying to be as specific as i can. Oh yeah, and the ECU is burnt up..smells burnt and has large dark circles on the board(s).

    1) Is the ECU the problem? and is it causing it to dump to much fuel into the injectors?

    2) What else could cause fuel in the oil?

3)Vacuum leaks could be the culprit to idling rough?

4)I need a new fuel rail, cap & rotor correct? with plug wires?

    5) Where do i find a fuel rail and the oem spec crankcase breather hose?

Holy fucking huge sentence! Bigger than a whiskey shit.

    1. I don't know, if it smells like the magic smoke escaped that's a good guess.

    2. no idea

    3. Absolutely, vacuum leaks are the number one source of rough idle on e30's

    4. Post pictures of the fuel rail, something that preposterous needs to be shared with the world. I can't imagine how the PO managed to paint the interior of the rail but yes, you should get a new, used rail.

    5. Junkyard or someone on the board is your best bet for the fuel rail.
